Saltwater Gem is based on the design efforts of Rita Jordan out of West Palm Beach, Florida. Rita makes jewelry inspired by her love of the sea and her passion for creative design.

 

Rita has had a life-long career as a practicing designer and instructor. She studied design earning an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and a Master's in Graphic Design. Although she has spent her professional career mostly in the digital environment, she craves the tactile quality of drawing, painting and jewelry making. 

 

The traditions of jewelry making are innate in mankind and using nature to influence design seems appropriate. Rita has always recognized and craved this artform and relishes in her time spent with much gratitude.
